About ViPER's Audio
ViPER's Audio is an audio enhancing software to provide everyone with better audio experiences in various platforms such as smartphones and PCs.
ViPER's Audio is founded by Euphy Wong (ViPER520). ViPER's Audio has been a popular audio mod in China. Recently, co-founder Zhu Hang extended the popularity globally through xda-developers forum. It has gained fame and made its stand in the audio mod field.
ViPER's Audio made great improvements in Bass with its dynamic bass system and ViPER Bass. ViPER's Audio also outshines in terms of Clarity with its unique ViPER Clarity and XHiFi technology. Surround sound had never been enough until the presence of field surround, differential surround or haas effect and Virtual Headphone Surround+.
Talking about audio effect, nothing is more significant than convolution. Being the first audio mod to have Convolver makes ViPER's Audio a must for effect lovers. Convolver lets you load technically any impulse response sample you have.
ViPER's Audio is concern with user's auditory health too. Auditory Protection System with the one and only Cure Tech+ reduces your ears' stress and keep you ready for longer duration of pounding musics.

With normal audio system, listening for more than three hours will feel fatigue, dizzy, tinnitus, irritated and other symptoms.
This is a normal reaction, heavy bass and high volume could cause permanent damage to the human auditory system, but other phenomena can restore through resting.
Viper as a listening experience professional will not ignore this problem. Therefore put a lot of effort to study how to make a "Healing" sound technology, just a small success. But thinking on how to let users experience it.
★ Convolver ★
When an Impulse Response Sample(IRS) is loaded, V4A will process the sound to show the same characteristics of the loaded sample. Through Convolution, samples with effects such as equalizer, surround, reverberation, tube etc can be loaded.
Download and extract IRS files to <storage>/ViPER4Android/Kernel/<paste files here>
★ FX Compatible Mode (Only in 4.x) ★
Compatible Mode supports large variety of music players and the players' own EQ/sound effects (system-provided/third party)
Therefore, you don't have to select V4A in Sound Settings > Music Effects, choose anything other than V4A. Just run V4A app and the effects will be working with anything else.
1. In option, switch to Compatible Mode. Reboot, done.
2. In Sound Settings > Music Effects, choose other than V4A.
3. Run V4A app and configure the settings then the effects will work together with the one you chose in Sound Settings.
v2.3.x Special Update Instructions
Notice: Please install v2.3.0.1 as USER app.
Important: New v2.3.x V4A has new package name, therefore follow this installation steps carefully.A. Setup your Device
1. Open old v2.2.x V4A, save the effect profile.
2. Uninstall old v2.2.x V4A. Complete uninstall, including both driver and app. Reboot.
3. Install new v2.3.x V4A, choose Yes to "Install/Update". (V4A auto detects and installs correct driver.)
4. Reboot, open new v2.3.x V4A and load effect profile saved in step 1.
Note: Xiaomi M1 not working for some users. But Xiaomi M2S with MIUI v5 is fully supported.
If driver installation fails,
1. Install busybox from Play Store, reboot and try again.
2. If persist, for non-MIUI roms, users can install SuperSU (latest version), reboot and try again.
Since MIUI roms have SU built-in, its not recommended to install other SU apps.
If nothing works, revert back to v2.2.x.
For Samsung devices,B. First-time Installation
1. Try install V4A as user app instead of system app if the latter failed doesn't work.
2. Use Normal Mode and select V4A FX in Settings>Sound>Music Effects.
3. If don't work, use another player rather than Samsung stock Music.

Requirement: Rooted, Busybox, File explorer app with root access.C. Update to Latest Version
Installation Method: In-App Installation. This method replaced previous auto/manual installation.
1. Extract and copy ViPER4Android_FX/XHiFi.apk to phone.
2. Install the apk as USER app.
3. Run FX/XHiFi app from drawer, allow root access.
4. When driver installation prompt, choose Yes to "Install/Update". (V4A auto detect and install correct driver)
5. After installation done, Reboot device.
6. If you want use Only V4A, follow option1. If you want other existing effects to work, follow option2.

Option 1: Use the "Check for update" function in V4A app itself.
1. In V4A app, go to options and select Check Update. Download the latest apk from the webpage.
2. Install apk and overwrite.
3. Open up FX (and XHIFI), Choose "Install/Update". Reboot, done.Option 2: Download from XDA. Overwrite previous version in system/app/

2. Install apk and overwrite.
3. Open up FX (and XHIFI), Choose "Install/Update". Reboot, done.
1. Open up V4A(both fx and xhifi), go in menu option and choose uninstall driver.CPU Driver List
2. After that, uninstall V4A(both fx and xhifi) apk itself.
3. Reboot. Done. Bye-bye V4A.
Important: Not Applicable for v2.3.x or above. V4A will auto detect and install for you.

FIR Equalizer is the name of our EQ. It is using minimal phase behind the scenes.
If CPU has NEON, V4A installs sound quality priority. (Quality few times greater than v2.2.x)
If CPU is with VFP, V4A installs battery saving priority. (Quality same as v2.2.x)
If CPU is without VFP, V4A installs the lowest sound quality. (Quality same as v2.2.x without VFP)

1. "Show Notification" switches to "Hide Notification" after toggle.
